New boyfriend mad for nothing?

I started dating this guy on Monday. I really care abut him, but he feels the need to see me everyday. that would be no problem, aside from the fact that i have a life aside from him. I mean i understand frustration, because i am the only person aside from two others people in the town that he knows, but he gets mad when i cannot spend time with him daily.

Today, he asked me to hang out, so i said yes, i had things around the house i needed to do first, then he went to go and get permission to find out that we couldn't hang out, so assuming that meant no hanging out for the day, i asked the "sister" i planned to spend 4th of july with over, then he texted me and asked me to go with him and his aunt to hang out. I would have loved to, but not being able to ditch a friend, i explained what happened to him, he became mad at me for this.

Later i asked him WHY he was mad, he said it was because he wanted to see me, because i'm amazing. And i love that fact that he wanted to spend time with him , but i still didn't understand why someone would get MAD about not seeing their girlfriend for two days. I explained to him how a week or such might make sense to me, but not a few days, to get MAD, then he became mad enough at me that he won't even speak to me right now.
