Thank author of this post/commentFarmers and Landower's really can have the wrong attitude sometimes, if this guy actually bothered to stop and talk to me instead of hurling abuse at me he would have found I would have been polite and helpful in telling him about the dogs and his fence and I would have apologised for being there if he said I shouldn't have been.

I grew up on a farm and I remember we always had problems with the neighbours dogs stealing our chickens (sounds corney but true). We knew they were dogs as we could see them running away with the chickens but because they were at a distance we could only see rough shapes and colors. We had four neighbours and we went around to each to see if the dogs in question were theirs. Three of the neighbours were very cooperative and showed us their dogs to clear them up from the situation. The one neighbour was very abusive and uncooperative so naturally we suspected his dogs. As it turns out, they weren't his dogs after all but his attitude made him the prime suspect. Ifthe fourth neighbour had only been decent and cooperative in the first place, he never would have been suspected at all, saving everyone involved a lot of time and effort.
