Fraud is said to be everywhere but the hard fact that the authorities cannot be of a lot of help when tracking down these culprits. Come to think of it, how many of such cases would they have to deal with?

There are those kinds of people who will not twitch and bat an eyelid when convincing you that they are the best real agents. Once they get what they want, they will do all they can to make sure they are not caugt up with.

Why has it been hard to contain real estate fraud or are we simply careless?

Yeah, at some point we are indeed careless. I think this frauds can be prevented at some point if only we are very careful on every transactions we do, try to investigate first before closing a deal. Though it is a lot of work for you, it is worth the while than to loose lots of bucks.
