an independent country

I am irritated at the possibility of my country being soon overrun and bombarded by rules and regulations of England, once again. I would say it as once more, because it is a country that has been independent for more than half a century, or just about that long, now.

Why all the pauses? I would hate if bleddy England ran across into my country as well! Who wouldn't? That must be some hectic stuff there guy.
