| Irritating Habit of People on Facebook I am just irritated with some contacts I have on Facebook. I believe this has also happened with you. You just logged in or got a notification in your phone that someone tagged a photo of you. When you logged in you just saw some random advertisements where you aren't even interested or connected with but these people still managed to Tagged you. I usually have long patience with this kinds of irresponsible social network habits but this time, it just irritated the crap out of me. So I untagged and deleted that contact. that person isn't that close to me to begin with so it is not really my loss. |
| "Advertisements On My Wall "
There really were lots of advertisements on my facebook page. I just let those pass. Some are personally requested by friends and some just pops out from people I am not even acquainted. Good thing that we can just un tag ourselves from such photos or advertisements. What could be far more irritating was when those guys continually keeps on tagging you after you removed your name on his tagged friends. |
| "Advertisment and Corresponding Actions"
I too have experienced such situation. I know for a fact that it is a form of marketing for their business. If I personally know the person or is a friend of a friend, I would first notify him to stop tagging me from such marketing schemes in the future. If it happens again, then that's the only time I would confront and probably delete him. At least I gave him a warning. |
| "Think Of It As Help "
Well in my case, if a person, especially if a friend of mine ask for permission to have my wall for advertisement of whatever it is that they are promoting, then I see nothing wrong with giving them the chance to do so. It is so hard to market your goods and services online and with just a space at your personal page, it wont hurt to help a friend in need, right? |
| "The other end of the spectrum"
That is a normal reaction if your friends are the one tagging you but what if they are just some strangers, or a friend of your friend? I don't think you would have the same reaction.I for one don't want clutter on my personal page. So as much as possible I don't want any irrelevant and irresponsible tagging of photos and wall updates happening on my wall. So if they kept tagging me after I untagged myself in it, then it is probably time to limit their access in my page. Facebook has now that option... or I can always unfriend them. |
| "Just Un-Tag Yourself In such Ads"
Online ways of people will always be there no matter what facebook or some other social networking do. And if you really like a private wall, better be out of the social network scene. Because once yous make an account in it, you are now permitting such advertisements to be at your wall. There is no doubt on that. So, instead of getting really annoyed about it, why not just take off the ads and go on with your usual internet browsing. |
| "untag, unfriend"
Someone who uses your name to spam some nonsense isn't your friend. Do the only right thing:- Send them a nasty message - Unfriend them. |
