Sometimes, due to the location of my window, the sun can be extremely blinding in the evening time. It is so very much a mildly irritating thing because I cannot do anything about it, and it keeps me from feeling as comfortable as I would like to be. I guess that I would need to make a decision concerning the placement of windows in future housing investments.

That is true. But you know what, I would love to have the sun entering my home. I think what you will need at home are some good shades of curtains. Why not try blinds, they are also great. OR better yet a pot of little plants on your windows are great alternatives. They can also attract lots of cute little butterflies so you can have an additional decoration. Have a great day.
