So confused, not sure what to do? - Out of Sorts
| So confused, not sure what to do? My best friend has always been sort of annoying around boys, she always flirts with them, and leads them on. Recently she just got cheated on by the boy she really, really liked and was completely crushed. Today after school we saw a good friend of ours/ boy that I like and she started flirting with him a lot (he is a huge flirt as well so he started flirting back.) They hugged and kept wispering to each other. I felt really awkward and upset:p Right now she's at the boy's house who cheated on her, and they are talking things out. It's just even though she still likes her recent ex, why does she always flirt with every guy? She doesn't think I still like that boy that we saw after school today(she knows I used too), so I can't really tell her it annoys me. Just how do I deal with it when I'm around her..? Is it just her personaility and should I just deal with it.? What would u do? |

Your friend is the flirty kind of girl. And as her friend you have to understand and at the same time try to lead her to the much better side of being a girl. You have to show her what it is that some people might think of her as she flirt with lots of boys. And tell her how it would affect her as a person. You are her friend, so you should be the one to do the talking. |

I think she deserved what came to her, you know being cheated by the guy she liked and all. If I knew better, i think her guy sensed or was aware that she was flirting with other guys which made him do what he did. Or this might not be the case. What I am fascinated about is how were you able to stand her and be friends for quite some time. You obviously had a crush on one guy but here she is flirting with him, what's worst is you know she had a boyfriend. I think you should remind her what is right from wrong. |

Girls, girls, girls, they sure have lots of issues to deal with. Some are faithful and some are just simply a play type. And who would want to be engaged in this kind of relationship, huh? You better have your friend talk about this with her boyfriend. It would be unfair for him if you just let these insanity continue. As her friend, you really have to help her out of her old, wrong ways. |

I ave two young girls and I am a bit scared reading these kinds of rants. I fear that my girls might eventually be associated with shady "friends" and bad company. my wife and I are continually brushing up on parenting books and adapting what works, and dropping what is not. It is hard to raise kids especially when the world doesn't seems fair and just. I just hope we make do a good job in making them as grounded and God-fearing as possible. |

It is hard to be in a situation you are in. It is not easy to just keep those emotions inside for that long. And it is obvious that you have these feeling over that guy too. Wonder how you managed to just keep it all up to yourself without getting the guy know about what is happening. I think it is much better that you do talk to that friend of yours and to the guy as well. It would be unfair for him if you continue keeping it all up. |
