The Last Ride: Part II - Out of Sorts
| The Last Ride: Part II At first I was kind of annoyed that I had to split my first movie into two parts to fit the youtube requirements. Though the more I thought about it, the less it bothered me because some of my favorite films are so long that on dvd they've had to split the movie on two discs... so having to split this movie in two... kind of is an honor of sorts. Also, like I said before (attatched to the first half) this was supposed to be a five minute film. However, I did what most directors did... I set out to make the best film that I could and then I would try to edit it down from there. Eventually I got the film to be 5 minutes in length and well, it wasn't too bad... but it really wasn't the movie that I wanted and I felt the longer version was better. So, like most directors now days... I made two versions. I made one for the class (theatrical version) and I made another (the director's cut). Obviously the version you are seeing here on youtube is the director's cut. Maybe someday down the road I will put the five minute one on here as well... But anyway, the second half is much darker in tone and well, it's my favorite part of the film. It's funny, in real life I am really nice and wouldn't want to hurt anyone in anyway... but my artwork usually turns dark, mysterious, and creepy. I'm not too sure why that is, but you will find that the dark tone is quite normal in my work to come . . . I hope you enjoy the second half . . . |
