| Yahoo! Answers: How should my friends and I get rid of this guy? Ok, so there's this REALLY annoying guy in my high school....and ever since gr.9 (I am now in gr.12) he's been following my friends and I around because he has no friends. The thing is, I wouldn't mind so much if he was actually a nice person. But someone who is extremely nosy about your business, lies quite frequently, very mean, always talks with this annoying high-pitched voice and is just ALWAYS behind you when you turn around can become quite annoying. The thing is, this is my last year of high school...I just wish he could leave and try to make some friends, even though no one really wants him around. How can my friends and I get rid of him without actually bullying him? (Ignoring him does not work). |
| People like this can really be difficult to get rid of. Even is you have already given the signs that you do not want him around, the guy either doesn't get the signals or he is plain ignoring them. If you have tried everything you can think of in terms of subtle hints, then you have no choice but to be direct. Don't insult him but rather say that he is not the kind of person you would like to be associated with. Cite his misbehaviour as examples of why you don't want him around. It may be he doesn't realize why no one likes him. If you are direct, it might be the first time anyone has ever given him feedback. |
| I think it is much better if you have given him enough time to prove to you his worth to be your friend. But I have to say that there are this people whom we do not like really and though they are not doing anything just yet, it seems that just by seeing their faces we got really annoyed.
