Yahoo! Answers: My parents absolutely HATE my best friend...help!? Im a 14 year old girl and my best freind is one year older than me and my parents HATEEE her! she wears a lot of eyeliner and dresses dark and stuff and listens to death metal and stuff. my parents think shes a bad influence cuz i started dressing a little dark and listening to metal and stuff over a year ago but not because of her like shes not the only person in the world like that. my best freind moved to florida (from new jersey) last august and my parents were happier than ever. to stay in touch with her i started texting and talking to her online every single day and my parents read my texts and internet convos which is really annoying (see this question please http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoW7cWJoPLVBvHlQBneC.M2zFQx.;_ylv=3?qid=20100726150000AA2WZmd ) and she curses a lot and my parents now hate her even more. shes visiting jersey for 2 weeks tomorrow and i need some advice on how to make them like her more which i know will be hard but please.
