There is a saying that if you can't stand the heat then get out from it, well this do not usually have to be especially if you are referring to a lifetime and a permanent career. The office can be a jungle with all the chaos and stress given by work and your fellow employees, not to mention one's boss. You can be quite lucky if you have a very professional and casual boss but can be otherwise if he is not. Either you became a suck up or just let him be with his moods and actions, but remember there must be a limit to what you can take from him/her/them.

You really have some few simple choices here and that is...(1) If you don't have any back up plan or any work that will catch you if ever you resign from that job with a hellish boss, then you don't really have a option. It all boils down to survival. (2) If you a back up plan, then measure everything up first. Try to understand your boss. He/She is still human, try to make peace and befriend him. If all else fail it shouldn't be always you who should quit. If there are people with position higher than him, you can always report his maltreatment of his workers. (3) or the last choice quit and look for a job with better working environment. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
