Is it stupid to want to change my name?

Thank author of this post/commentMy last name is never spelled or pronounced correctly and combined with my first name makes for an annoying character from Happy Days. I've always hated it and am about to start a career as a real estate agent - which is almost entirely about selling your name. Would it be foolish of me to try changing it before getting started? I hear it's a big process. But I wonder if clients discovered I had a name change whether that would raise trust issues or not.
