In a completely different league - Your Teenagers
| In a completely different leagueI have been a mother to three kids for fifteen years now. My eldest is fifteen, next is twelve, and the youngest is eight years of age. I am the modern type of mother who is somewhat understands the latest hype regarding internet and media. I don't want to be left out with the discussions with my sons, the only problem is that even if I tried to understood the world they dwell in, I could not really grasp it. It is a good thing that they still respect me and does not argue or shouts back at me that much, and with that I am very proud of the good work I've done. But I am afraid that an uncontrollable factor such as their peers or environment could sway them off the righteous path which I have established so hard. |
| That is the scenario that you have to prepare for Streiss. There are lots of factors that could threaten your child's safety and of course the way they would be when they grow up. Being in the teenage years there are lots of outside influence that you cannot control and you might end up thinking what happened and why does this happen to my child. But just to make sure that they are on the right path, just continue monitoring and advising them. |
| "Monitoring Kids As They Grow "
So true. It is indeed so hard to really look after our kids especially during their growing years. For as we would love them to stay with us the whole time, we just cannot do so. They also need to learn outside, with some other people and with another, whole new environment. What we need to do as parents is to monitor and guide them for always. For we would not want them to ever take the wrong path of life. |
