Jaw clicking problem?!?!?!?

Thank author of this post/commentMy jaw has had a clicking problem for a little over 8 months...it happened right after I got rubber bands on my braces and I am a teenager....it is a continuous clicking on only my left side with NO PAIN....its just annoying.....my ortho has given me a "bite plate" hoping it would work but it did nothing....my doctor also sent me to a physical therapist but nothing helped.....does anyone have any suggestions? Should I go back to bite plate? Should I wait it out? HELPFUL ANSWERS ONLY Thank You for your help...it is greatly appreciated:) I don't think it is TMJ because isn't TMJ associated with pain? I have no pain..... And also how to people get this problem?? What could I have done wrong to get this?
