| Questions: Serious question! I really need your advice. Teenagers!? Facebook? So a few weeks ago in April, I had my birthday party. My DJ was 16 like me and I thought he was really cute. Well that night we talked a bit and he hugged me also even though I had just met him. Well I found out he had a facebook from a friend and told him I had one too. He added me. Then on my real birthday he wished me happy birthday and i talked to him a bit over facebook. Then a week or so later I wrote on his facebook wall and we've been routinely commenting on that one post for a little more than 2 weeks now. Should I continue talking to him? Or should I just stop and give him his space? If the convo turns a bit boring should I try to spice it up and tease him a bit/ mildly flirt?I really like him, he's sweet and stuff, but idk if I'm annoying him or not! And he never gets on facebook chat so it's kinda weird to just keep on commenting onto my previous wallpost. Should I just give things a break? What if I stop talking to him and he never talks to me over facebook again? Should I try to ask open ended questions or just be friendly and funny, ya know, not boring? |

How totally annoying is it to talk to someone just on facebook (or via the net)... go out in the real world and talk to him for real! Geez! |
| There is nothing wrong with socializing with people online. But we also have to be careful from those people who would just want to get something from us. And they do that now through online scams on some social networking sites. And so we have to be really careful considering these matters in socializing online. You can't blame her for being the technology brat that she is. But a word of a advice young lass, even if you like him a lot please don't be too obvious. It is like you are throwing yourself in front of him by the looks of things. If you are really desperate enough to get his attention then by all means ask him out to a date or something, but be careful. Promiscuous and flirtatious acts doesn't always yield a positive outcome. Just a word of advice. |
| Seriously, just ask him if he wants to come out with you and your friends somewhere, then talk to him more there, get to know him better. DO that if you are to afraid to just tell you like him and want to be his girlfriend (which WOULD be kind of weird). But just be friendly, and invite him to make more friends, then get to know him better. Then when it comes down to telling him you like him, just do it. Some risks are good. |
