| Really want contacts.....only 15....but need advice.? helloo guysss:D well, let me just tel y'all dat im 15 years old..not too old really but i have very bad eyesight..like really bad...it got really bad ever since i got glasses at the end of last year...im shortsighted so i cant see things far away very good i.e tv, blackboard etc. ... so i think its time i started wearing glasses all the time because my sight is so much better when i have them on..its jst wearing glasses makes me feel akward and not myself..and they are also quite annoying for instance playing sport they can get in the way...also say you go casualy over to a friends house..you watch tv there but its hard for you to see the tv because you have not brought your glasses..glasses become an extra burden in my case..i do not need this..i want to be a care free teenager..this is why i want contacts..however my mam says there much too expensive..but im wondering are they really that expensive? i wouldnt mind paying for them if they are a reasonable price.. i know you can get disposible ones too..which ones do you think would suit me best?, , i also would like to get laser eye surgery in a few years when im old enough..but could i get it now at 15? |

| Hi Gilma. Well it is really not wearing glasses all the time. There will always be those awkward moments, like playing outside and having a night out with friends that wearing glasses would be not that of a good idea. You can talk about your concern with your mother. Tell her how you personally feel with wearing contacts instead. I am sure that she will understand your sentiments. Hope things would be fine for you. |
| I have known a lot of teenagers like your age who wear contact lenses but I heard that they were having a hard time in using it. Is there something wrong of wearing glasses? Or you just want to add a little fashion to your eyes? I know how pleasing to see contacts in the eyes of a person. But the decision of wearing contacts is still on your hands. Are you sure you can manage to have it? Well, there is nothing wrong in trying. |

Why worry too much about your glasses? I see nothing wrong with wearing glasses. Having contacts would be a little risky, not unless you are too good in repetitively taking them off before going to bed and then putting them back in the morning. And besides, there are stylish glasses that you can try. I am sure that you are going to look good in one very stylish glasses. Good luck. |
